A large company in Champagne entrusted us with the full renovation of a 19th<\/sup> century ch\u00e2teau and its outbuildings to create a luxury holiday destination reminiscent of the major milestones in the history and life of the company. The project involved gutting the building keeping the outer shell and the roof, underpinning the building to create a basement and an extension and reconstituting wide-span, pre-stressed concrete hollow core floors. The occasional high winds in the region forced the installation of a reinforced push-pull and strapping wind bracing structure. The entire listed slate roof with patinated zinc was rebuilt with the addition of dormers and lifeline.<\/p>\n

Every inside room has been decorated in a unique historic theme from Louis XIV to the beginning of the 20th<\/sup> century. Research focusing on each era was necessary with a prior visual and perspective for each one drawn and submitted to management. Eleven bedrooms, dining-rooms, drawing-rooms, seminar room, ballroom, smoking-room, etc. were thus created.<\/p>\n

The entire surrounding English park was renovated and converted into a French garden approached from the forecourt between ch\u00e2teau and outbuildings.<\/p>\n

A challenge that combined construction rigour on occasionally damaged old structures and flexibility to adapt to the uncertainties and variations in decorative objects, taking into account the desire to combine the long history and modern image and the very upmarket perspective of our client.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
