This old nine-storey Gaz de France building has been entirely restructured. The Project Owner sought out ACTEBA for an expert assessment with the SPIE company to support and challenge it in organising all the structural alterations.

In the basement, complex underpinning and creating an additional basement level required about fifty lined shafts and an entire network of load-transferring beams including cross-beams in the existing walls by installing stools.

Above ground, the need for a modern office layout in this old building resulted in connecting and reinforcing floors both structurally and acoustically, re-levelling lowered floors, replacing posts and tying the existing beams, modifying façades and building extensions.

All this complex work forced us to push forward the phasing to optimise the deadline and safety for each area and organise the work by other trades, technical and core and shell, after the structural works.
