We have been tasked with the scheduling, overseeing and coordination of the complete reconstruction of a series of three building structures right in the heart of PARIS 17, comprising four buildings around a central patio.

This project is one of the most structurally-challenging construction sites with the underpinning of two additional basement levels using the dual technique of micropiles and lined shafts. These techniques required perfect organisation with:

  • Intermediate phases to transfer loads temporarily.
  • Site logistics to manage machinery and pedestrian flows.
  • Efficient timing of earth and rubble extraction given the very narrow delivery area on the street (17 m).

Reconstructing two staircase and lift hubs and modifying post and beam frames on the street and courtyard façades are also refurbishment references needing wind bracing for each phase and access into each area and level.

Monitoring the principles of each stage and the overall timetable is especially tricky given the uncertainties as well as the need to control site pollution (noise, vibration and dust) in this very built-up, prestigious Paris neighbourhood.

  • Project owner: MONCEAU Assurance
  • Net surface area: 6 000 m² – F+5 to 8 on 2 parking levels.
  • Duration: 21 months (2013-2015)
  • Architect: PALISSAD Architectures
  • Works budget: €18M

Do you have a project?

You envision buildings and you require construction to be worthy of this vision. Since 1997, ACTEBA has been supporting its clients by providing them with financial and technical expertise for a wide range of projects, both public and private, of varying volumes and complexity.
